Description: By purchasing this knapsack bag, you directly support family-run farming communities in Tanzania, Africa, where Maggie’s purchases organic cotton for our made-in-the-USA Socks. $12 from the purchase of each bag goes back to these communities. $9 from the sale of each bag goes back to these communities, and another $3 will be donated to the bioRe® Foundation to build a water well in the village of Ng’hoboko. Women in the farming communities in Tanzania, Africa - with the assistance of the bioRe® Foundation - establish sewing centers to sew and repair the knapsack bags used by organic cotton harvesters. This knapsack bag is made from traditional Tanzanian prints, not from organic cotton. By supporting small-scale artisans and kickstarting their venture now, they could offer Organic Cotton options in the future!
